” Generation XYZ”

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Generation XYZ.”

Think about the generation immediately younger or older than you. What do you understand least about them — and what can you learn from them?

generation-gap-quotes

The generation ahead of me is considered the baby boomer, and I consider myself the tail end of the baby boomers and the generation behind me is considered the millennial.

I have learned many lessons of wisdom, from the baby boomers, as some referred to as the greatest generation. However, the millennial generation’s visual perspective of humanity and the world they view provides hope their competency of technology many of the baby booms shun and or completely disregard.

History has shown this form of generational experiences shares a common historical similarity. One hundred years ago, the horseless carriage was advance technology, along with electricity, indoor plumbing, radio, and moving pictures.

Two hundred years earlier, the idea and belief of everyone gaining access to read the bible and other books was unheard of, yet humanity has survived with each generation.

So, historically each generation moves forward learning from one another, whether they wish to or not, however, the next generation’s incredible wonderment with technology has made unimaginable strives over every preceding generation learning from each as time moves forward.
