“Revisionist History”

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Revisionist History.”

Go back in time to an event you think could have played out differently for you. Let alternate history have its moment: tell us what could, would or should have happened?

Where or when in time would I go to achieve an alternative history of my present day.

I would travel back to Tuesday, July 7th 2015, at 5:45 am. I would have awaken to the sounds of Bob Marley playing on my Bose radio, with the Caribbean Ocean lapping against my 65 foot yacht. I lay in bed recalling how fortunate I was to purchase Apple stock in 1987 and never spending a divined for twenty-seven years. My life has been altered everyday since my initial investment.

Although, as history would have it, I worked for the past 27 years and I don’t have a yacht, but, my kayak brings me happiness as I paddle around South West Florida, fishing and exploring the mangroves for miles upon miles of peaceful beauty.

  1. Great pic of you kayaking! I have the same model, but no carrier….waaah! Have to spring for one. Nice post, esp the Satchel Paige quote.

      1. Most Welcome. Your Blog is Super Interesting. With so Many Years on the Force, I assume in the Miami area, from ‘Back in That Day’ I’m sure you have had some very interesting experiences. I think the World would be very interested to hear about that. I Know I would be. 🙂

        1. My time in law enforcement was in Northern VA and the military. I find many people want the details of my career which was magical and exciting and I know I will write some of the episodes in the form of a book sometime before my death. LOL!
