In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “______ is the new ______.”

Before I completely read the daily prompt, my thoughts immediately were of the Netflix original show called, “Orange is the new Black.”
The shows main character is a woman who has been convicted of drug smuggling she was involved in several years prior to her current personal life. She has established a successful relationship with a struggling male writer and began a personal business venture that will dwindle with her being incarcerated.
The story centers around her experiences as an inmate, that includes the various adjustments she endures, the relationships she encounters and avoids. The dramatic appearance of the woman who she was in league with during their drug smuggling days.
I know, I did not follow the instructions of the daily prompt, but this is flash fiction and what I wrote are my immediate thoughts, reflecting in my fingers to type what you have read.
