“Delayed Contact”

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Delayed Contact.”

How would you get along with your sibling(s), parent(s), or any other person you’ve known for a long time — if you only met them for the first time today?

Family-Quotes-Wallpapers-10

My favorite family quote is, “you can choose your friends. However, your blood family is who you are stuck with,” yet my extroverted personality is a mirror of my family.

I’m sure everyone who has more than two family members, has encountered disagreements of some form and type. It is these disagreements that are the foundation for learning tolerance and compromise.

During my lifetime, I have encountered many people whom I’ve learned to tolerate, compromise and agree to disagree about personal, religious, social, and political issues.

I own that knowledge to my family of siblings, aunts, uncles, and cousins who I learned and discovered, tolerance, compromise, and the wisdom to appreciate all people, no matter what the disagreement.

Many people remind me of family and friends. My diverse encounters allow me to build upon my wisdom and knowledge, that humanity is more similar than different.
