“Sorry, I’m Busy”

Tell us about a time when you should have helped someone… but didn’t.

Happiness-doesn’t-come-through-selfishness-but-through-selflessness.-Everything-you-do-comes-back-around

Sorry, I’m busy, is the phrase, I have used for myself, as I learned to take time for me.

After many years of giving of myself to family, friends, community and my country, I have learned or should I say discovered, it is alright to be a little selfish for thyself.

I learned my acts of selfishness for myself has inspired and assisted many family, and friends, with the belief that being a little selfish can heal the soul.

So, “Sorry I’m busy,” should occasionally be applied to thyself, since a little selflessness for thyself, can heal the soul.

  1. I try to tell my nurses-in-training that same concept. Like when you’re on an airplane and the stewardess says to put the O2 mask on yourself first THEN on the person you’re responsible for in the next seat. Taking appropriate time for your own rejuvenation is actually a way to be a better caregiver to others.
