Do you have a favorite quote that you return to again and again? What is it, and why does it move you?
The above quote by Mother Teresa is one of my favorites because finding peace within will always bring a smile to your face.
During the first chapter of my life, the unexpected surprises, fortuitous circumstance, and in general life just happened no matter how much I planned and prepared.
In time, I learned that even during the worst of any human tragedy I think of a song to find peace to keep my spirits up, and bring a smile to my face.
Over the years, the songs I’ve sung to myself have varied from James Brown’s, “I feel Good,” to The Beach Boys, “Good Vibrations’” and lately the song by Pharrell, “Happy.”
The singing a song to myself idea was actually formed many years ago when I watched the Disney Movie “Pinocchio” and the song “Give a little whistle” with Jimmy the Cricket.
Now that whistle will be in your thoughts for a while. 🙂
