“Stairway”

DSCN3754

I’m climbing the stairway northward along the interstate from southwest Florida peering into the rearview mirror I see my last morning sunrise of Fort Myers Florida.

Excitement feeds my soul as I hurry along as I consider my future travels. I realize I should slow my pace to enjoy my journey.

I shall not rush my travel blogger/nomadic adventurers.

I take a deep breath slowing the pace of my excitement as the sun rises above the clouds.

I slowly absorb the moment to appreciate what awaits me as I climb the stairway of my new journey.

  3. Hey there! A really to-the-point post. I sometimes also need to remember to not rush physically and mentally towards the future. Thanks for reminding me of that!

    1. It is easy to become hurried with the excitement of the moment of thing to come. Sometimes, a leisurely pace can sooth the soul to enjoy the journey. 🙂

  4. Great shot! I was at a stand still in heavy traffic when I saw a breathtaking sunset with fingers-of-god rays and mentally felt grateful to see it. I toyed with the idea of capturing the scene and finally succumbed and took a shot with my phone. We still hadn’t moved after I took the shot so I happily drank in the beauty of the sky and the colours.
I totally agree about pausing and slowing down to take stock and enjoy life et al. Your post is a nice reminder.
