“Desert, which one?”

desert-rain-quotes-1

After an argument, I deserted my wife for the solitude and warmth of the desert, where I enjoyed the chocolate cake she made for dessert. When I return home with sunburned arms and face, she stated, I received my just desserts.

One word, two different meaning, add an “S,” and it becomes sweet. 🙂

    1. I love the English language and the hundred if not thousands of unique words utilizing so many different meanings just from the dictionary. The use of colloquial and cultural terms of the same words holds and utilize so many meanings outside of the regular dictionary terms. It takes a life time for some foreign born citizens when English is their second language will spend a lifetime to learn. 🙂
