For thirty-five years, Oscar and Eunice’s marriage has faced various obstacles testing their enduring love for one another. Oscar has learned and developed the wisdom to rearrange his perception of women to survive his marriage.

On the eve of his eldest son’s marriage David, Oscar provides some wisdom and knowledge. The first thing you should understand is that your life will be rearranged and accepting the rearrangement makes life with your new wife somewhat easier. Here are a few tips to remember.

  1. A happy wife is a happy life.
  2. Always clean and leave the toilet seat down when you finish in the bathroom.
  3. Learn to apologize even when you are wrong.
  4. Learn to nod your head in agreement.
  5. Listen intently and always show concern.

Most importantly trust in one another and never share your knowledge of this conversation with your mother.

Oscar and David hugged one another when David asks. Did Susan receive the same talk when she married?

No, I did not speak to your sister. But, I did talk with her husband Brian a week before they married, which is why I believe they are still happily married to this day with my three grandkids.

David, asks, did granddad give you this wisdom.

No, but, I was hard headed and stubborn before learning to rearrange my life
