For me, extraordinary life experiences have become a delight, especially when interacting with beautiful people when I met Greg & Lisa Cook, the owners of 4E Winery.
They both serve their customers wine with incredible hospitality and warmth even during our world pandemic with masks on.
Greg’s sandwich preparation and food display are tasteful and healthy vegan choices. I enjoyed an appetizer hummus plate served with pita chips and an incredible array of fresh vegetables.
However, the Báhh Mí Chay sandwich served between a house-made baguette, with a walnut paté, with lemongrass soy “chik’n,” cucumber, house-pickled vegetables, fresh jalapeń, cilantro, and sriracha aioli.
4e Winery grew out of a passion by winemaker Greg Cook to craft quality wines from pure northern prairie ingredients. In 2012 Greg & Lisa purchased their farmstead property to fulfill their dream.
Since 2000, Greg began as a home winemaker labeling his craft as Cook Prairie Wines. His Ph.D. degree in organic chemistry and is a chemistry professor at North Dakota State University since 1996, along with his passion for winemaking, are the unique elements to his delicious wines and tasty vegan sandwiches.
He and Lisa are building upon their dream business and share their experience of North Dakota wines with everyone.
The wine tasting was a perfect complement to the appetizer and sandwich, allowing me to chose the Prarie Star wine brand.
