America’s prescription parks

Olympia National Park

There is a repeated loop of daily visuals, audible news, and shows covering every angle of anything. All combined with daily Covid-19 World Pandemic updates, about the deaths of more than half a million Americans. Needless to say, these depressing forms of information can be overwhelming for you, and survivors who suffer from the sorrow and awe of death.

The Parks Rx America is a non-profit organization with a mission to decrease the burden of chronic disease, increase health and happiness, and foster environmental stewardship, by virtue of prescribing nature during the routine delivery of healthcare by a diverse group of health care professionals.

I travel full-time pulling my tear drop camper spending every day among trees, flora and away from the news and social media. I know many family and friends believe I’ve checked out from the world and in some respects I have.

I dictate what horros of the world I want to be exposed to and more importantly. After 50-plus years living among humans, and knowing the history how humanity treats one another. The consistent bad news can wait because it usually the same.

I have not been racially profiled or attacked by any insects, lizards, birds, or animals while enjoying the sounds of silence, broken only by song birds tweeting to one another as I absorb and smell fragrant trees and various other, natural wild-flowering plants.

You do not need a prescription to enjoy the health benefits of nature so click the Parks Rx America link above to discover the various parks around the country to nurture your heart, mind and soul in the great outdoors.
