Fellowshipping with new friends

Sunsetting in the Arizona desert
My travels from Cased-Locks, OR, to Yosemite National Park.

The video montages are images I captured in the US National Parks and Monuments during my nomadic travels.

Since the spring of 2016, I have traveled and lived as a nomadic, enjoying day hikes and backpacking while photographing wildlife and beautiful landscapes. Nature has become mentally therapeutic and soulfully spiritual.

Most of the people I’ve encountered along the trails and my travels are cordial with a hello or the greeting of the day. Yet, others are startled by my presence, a single black man.

For the past two months, I have enjoyed learning to boondock in my new RV as I realize how much solar I can use and extending my use of fresh water, grey and black tanks for more than two and a half weeks.

I have also enjoyed the most amazing fellowshipping experiences with the people in the photo above, who share a love of RVing, Van life, and SUV camping, all while boondocking.
I met this group North of Quartzsite, AZ, on Bureau of Land Management property, aka BLM, off Plomosa Rd RD.

Everyone in the photo are African-American retirees, wisdom filled soulful-hearts who met through a Facebook Community Chat focusing on African-Americans camping.

Two years before I took to the road, I began transitioning from a meat eater to a pescatarian to what I consider a fluctuating vegetarian vegan. I was tested by the abundance of food cooked.
The day the chicken wings were cooked, I survived, but I succumbed to eating several pieces of fish during the fish fry, and the pasta dinner with salads was exceptional.

The campfires were exceptional as we reminisced and reflected on our upcoming travel adventures for 2023. One aspect we all discovered and enjoyed was we shared a love for our nomadic lifestyle.

Love, Peace and Happiness; Poetry

Love, Peace, and Happiness; three words essential within the foundations for every human living on our planet. Millions of different ways to achieve all three are based on need, desire, and what you individually want.

Love, Peace, and Happiness; are within everyone’s heart to explore and discover a sense of peace at any stage of life.
Love; begins within your soul, revealed in your mirror or the calm reflections upon a lake.

Peace; is an ongoing process within your mind to accept or change your perspective.
Happiness; is yours to choose from within.

Love, Peace, and Happiness; are in the eyes of family, friends, as we honor our ancestor’s legacy by living our best lives.

Love, Peace, and Happiness; begin when our consciousness awakens to each new day throughout our daily life, every second, every minute, and every hour.

Love, Peace, and Happiness; should be sought continuously.
as all three are within to inspire others.

So please pass on within you your Love, Peace, and Happiness.

  1. Beautifully written! This journey is definitely amazing and very therapeutic for me. It has been a spiritual journey that has taught me how beautiful this world is and how blessed I am to be apart of it. I also made a note of the national parks, in the pictures I plan to visit sometime soon.😊

    1. Thanks Andrea. Pace yourself as each park deserves about two or more weeks to enjoy and appreciate. Natures original amusement park.
